I’ve been using exclusively gel colors for the past few months, so I decided to change it up on Friday. First, I primed my nails with a coat of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Nourishing Nail Color. Then I applied two coats of “Cement the Deal” by OPI. Finally, I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I’m loving this shade as a transition into fall!
This at-home gel manicure kit is AMAZING. Sensationail
is extremely simple to do, and it doesn’t take too much longer than a regular manicure. In fact including drying time, it’s MUCH faster. I’ve used this kit before, but this was the first time that I followed the directions perfectly and really took my time to learn how to do it.
In the picture above, the nail polish had already been on my nails for a week. In the picture below, it had been TWO weeks with NO chips! I painted my nails with this October 20th, and they still look perfect today (November 4th if you’re reading this later). I will have to do an update when they finally chip because I am sincerely impressed with this kit.
The next time I use this kit, I will do a step by step blog post, so you all can see just how easy it is to do. Sensationail will save me so much money in the long run, and I can’t believe how many people have asked me if I got my nails professionally done!
I highly recommend this product!
Update: My first nail chipped after sixteen days. I’m impressed!
I’ve had my nails painted different shades of red for the past few weeks, so I decided to change it up this morning. First, I primed my nails with a coat of “Sweet Nothings” by L’Oréal. Then I applied two coats of “Heavenly” by Kokie Professional. Finally, I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I’m loving this shade as a transition into fall! It’s very similar to “Bikini So Teeny” by Essie, which I love.
John goes to the University of Tennessee for law school now, and on Saturday I went to my first Vols game with him!

I’m obsessed with this nail color!! I think it’s so beautiful and professional. This would be a great color to wear to work or for events.
First I applied a coat of Seche Vite’s Clear Base Coat. Then, I painted on three coats of “Bubble Bath” by OPI. I could’ve gotten away with two coats, but I wanted to make sure every nail was 100% opaque. Finally, I applied Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Top Coat.
The combination of these polishes are really gorgeous, and they will definitely become a new favorite of mine.
I started up an Instagram account for this blog in January, and I just realized I’ve never advertised it on here.
My username is @ashleynicolefashion, so please go follow me if you have an account!
I post fashion and makeup pictures. :) Usually all pictures are associated with a post that’s going up that day, so you’ll get a sneak peek!
I also have started a board on my Pinterest for my blog. I upload many of my makeup looks and Polyvore Monday’s there, so you can find them all in one place! I actually upload all my Polyvore sets at the beginning of each month, so you can see every set and the links before I release it!
Please add me on Instagram and Pinterest to keep up to date on all things related to Ashley Nicole Fashion!
This month marks a full year that I’ve received Ipsy bags, so I thought I’d share about this really awesome company!
I’m someone who LOVES to try new products, and Ipsy is the perfect way to do that. Every month, for $10, you receive five products in the mail. I’ve gotten twelve bags, and I’ve never received a product that I’d tried before, or that I’d received in a previous bag. Each month they send a different patterned bag that the products are in. I love to use the bags to keep my jewelry in when I travel.
They do send out name brand products by companies such as Urban Decay, Smashbox, The Balm, It Cosmetics, etc., and they also introduce you to smaller companies. Usually there are one or two products in each bag that are full-sized, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth.
When you first sign up, you fill out a questionnaire so that your products will be geared toward what you would like to use. For example, I receive a lot of eye, lip, nail, and hair products.
I’ve actually found some of my favorite products through Ipsy! They introduced me to Starlooks Luxe Longwear Eye Liner Pen, which is the best liquid liner I’ve ever used. (Look out for a review on it coming soon!) I definitely intend to repurchase it. Another product I’ve loved is the NUDESTIX Lip + Cheek Pencil in Mystic. The color is beautiful and is something I would’ve picked out for myself in Sephora. I used it in this look, and I would love to try the other colors available.
If you’re interested in trying out Ipsy, click on this link to order! It’s a great service for those of us who love beauty products. :) There’s no commitment to sign up for multiple months, so don’t be afraid to try it out for just one month.
Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
I received “Wingwoman” by Formula X in my Ipsy bag in June, and I decided to try it out while on vacation. This formula is AMAZING. It is definitely worth all the hype surrounding it. It was opaque in one coat, and it goes on so smoothly.
I preceded it with the base coat by Seche Vite, and I applied the Seche Vite top coat at the end. The combination of these three products was great, and my nails looked like I went to a nail salon!
I highly recommend these products if you want an easy, no fuss manicure that looks great.
This nail polish is beautiful! First, I used the Seacrest nail kit to make my nails smooth and shiny. Then I applied three coats of “In A Flurry” by Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. You’re supposed to only apply two coats, but I found that it wasn’t completely opaque. After three coats, it was definitely opaque, and I found that an extra coat didn’t affect the staying power negatively. The glitter is beautiful, and it wasn’t difficult to remove.
