Polyvore Monday: Thanksgiving 2017

I really adore the combination of colors in this ensemble. Burgundy is one of my favorite colors, and pairing it with the brown is beautiful and perfect for Thanksgiving. I think the gold jewelry really pulls it all together without being overpowering. Finally, the neutral pink nail polish is the perfect way to top off the look.

Polyvore Monday: Skies of Gray

This outfit is a bit different for me, but I really like it. It looks like the perfect outfit for a cozy, fall day. I think when mixing colors, it’s really important to keep the neutrals very similar in tone and substance. I love the combination of the pale pink jeans and the dark blue boots and nail polish. The boots are so dark that they’re almost a neutral – I love it!

NOTW: OPI “Cement the Deal”

I’ve been using exclusively gel colors for the past few months, so I decided to change it up on Friday. First, I primed my nails with a coat of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Nourishing Nail Color. Then I applied two coats of “Cement the Deal” by OPI. Finally, I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I’m loving this shade as a transition into fall!

Polyvore Monday: Christmas Cocktail

The cuts and lines of this dress are beautiful, and I think it is perfect for a Christmas party. I paired it with some simple, neutral jewelry to really help the color of the dress pop. The rose gold of the clutch adds something special to the outfit, and the nude, strappy heels elongate the legs. Finally, some red nail varnish adds a polished element.Christmas Cocktail

NOTW: “Raspberry Wine” by Sensational

One week

This at-home gel manicure kit is AMAZING. Sensationail is extremely simple to do, and it doesn’t take too much longer than a regular manicure. In fact including drying time, it’s MUCH faster. I’ve used this kit before, but this was the first time that I followed the directions perfectly and really took my time to learn how to do it.

In the picture above, the nail polish had already been on my nails for a week. In the picture below, it had been TWO weeks with NO chips! I painted my nails with this October 20th, and they still look perfect today (November 4th if you’re reading this later). I will have to do an update when they finally chip because I am sincerely impressed with this kit.

The next time I use this kit, I will do a step by step blog post, so you all can see just how easy it is to do. Sensationail will save me so much money in the long run, and I can’t believe how many people have asked me if I got my nails professionally done!

highly recommend this product!

Two weeks

Update: My first nail chipped after sixteen days. I’m impressed!

NOTW: “Heavenly” by Kokie Professional

I’ve had my nails painted different shades of red for the past few weeks, so I decided to change it up this morning. First, I primed my nails with a coat of “Sweet Nothings” by L’Oréal. Then I applied two coats of “Heavenly” by Kokie Professional. Finally, I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I’m loving this shade as a transition into fall! It’s very similar to “Bikini So Teeny” by Essie, which I love.

NOTW: “Bubble Bath” by OPI

I’m obsessed with this nail color!! I think it’s so beautiful and professional. This would be a great color to wear to work or for events.

First I applied a coat of Seche Vite’s Clear Base Coat. Then, I painted on three coats of “Bubble Bath” by OPI. I could’ve gotten away with two coats, but I wanted to make sure every nail was 100% opaque. Finally, I applied Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Top Coat.

The combination of these polishes are really gorgeous, and they will definitely become a new favorite of mine.
