LOTD: October 11, 2017

The only new product I’ve used in this look compared to my last post was the Fenty Foundation. I seem to be in the minority with this product…I love the shade range, but the foundation doesn’t really work for me. I’ve tried three different applications – with my fingers, with a beauty blender, and with a brush. The only one that worked remotely well was with a brush. The other two application types looked very patchy, and the rest of my makeup wouldn’t blend into it. Furthermore, no matter how much I set it, it transfers throughout the day if I even touch my face, and I’ve never had that problem before…even having oily skin. I’ve seen that this foundation also doesn’t work for dry skin, so I would really only recommend this foundation if you have normal skin. If you zoom in on my face, you can see it didn’t do a super great job covering my check blemishes, and I had even tried multiple layers as suggested. All in all, definitely not my cup of tea. IMG_1755.JPG

OOTD: UGA at Notre Dame

John and I traveled up to Indiana to see the Dawgs beat the Fighting Irish, and it was SO much fun! It was also great getting to see my cousins while we were up there. :)

NOTW: OPI “Cement the Deal”

I’ve been using exclusively gel colors for the past few months, so I decided to change it up on Friday. First, I primed my nails with a coat of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Nourishing Nail Color. Then I applied two coats of “Cement the Deal” by OPI. Finally, I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I’m loving this shade as a transition into fall!

Polyvore Monday: Cozy Fireside

This outfit is perfect as the weather starts to cool down. The dress will keep you warm without overheating. The scarf helps with wind and allows you to adjust to changes in temperature. I adore the bright gold of these earrings paired with the dark colors of the dress and scarf.

LOTD: September 30, 2017

I used a lot of new (to me) products in this look! I’ve really been having fun with this NYX palette lately. It has a great set of colors that combine to make a ton of beautiful looks. Another new product that I used in this look are the Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation, which I really enjoyed using. It has a nice finish and is long-lasting. The NudeStix Concealer has about medium coverage but doesn’t blend super easily. Finally, Becca Champagne Pop is a beautiful highlight which I’ve been getting a lot of use out of since I purchased it.

Polyvore Monday: Ah-Maize-Ing Maze

This Friday, we’ll be going to a corn maze. The corn maze is one of my favorite fall traditions. Since it’s still warm out during the day and cool at night, I’ll likely wear a short sleeve top paired with jeans. Boots of any kind are essential for a corn maze in order to keep your feet clean. I love this simple jewelry and lipstick that really flatter the color of the shirt.

Yikes! It’s been a while. With graduating from college and moving (twice!), I’ve been extremely busy the last few months. Recently I’ve been getting back into makeup and trying some fun new looks.

I will be updating the blog with things I’ve done including outfits, makeup looks, reviews, and my personal favorite…how I made my own graduation dress! Keep an eye out for a lot of fun posts coming :)

My anticipated schedule will be continuing with Polyvore Mondays, posts on Wednesdays and Fridays, and extra fun things once in a while in between.

I’m happy to be back!
