How To French Braid Your Bangs (Valentine’s Week 2012: Day Four)

For today’s post, I decided to do a quick hair tutorial. I will be showing you how to french braid your bangs. I do this look for nearly every basketball game that I cheer at. I love french braiding my bangs because it is something I can do really quickly in the morning when I’m running late, and it looks really cute. :)

In regards to Valentine’s Day I think this hairstyle would look really pretty to wear because it looks good with both straight and curly hair. :) I curled my hair for cheer pictures and did this hairstyle, and I really like how it turned out!

Valentine Nails (Valentine’s Week 2012: Day Two)

The other day, I came up with a really cute idea for Valentine’s Week nails using OPI Sweetheart and Finger Paints Red Crackle Nail Polish.

First, I painted three coats of Sweetheart on my nails.

After the last coat had tried, I painted a heart with the crackle nail polish on each of my thumbs. Next time I do this design, I think I will use tape to outline the heart so that the hearts are symmetrical.

If you want all of your nails to be identical, I suggest using the red crackle polish over Sweetheart on each of your nails would still look really cute.:)

Go Big Blue Tutorial

I originally created this look because I wanted something new to wear to our basketball games (we’re in the playoffs!). I decided to test it out on Super Bowl Sunday to cheer on the New York Giants, and I decided to film it as well because I haven’t posted a tutorial in a while. I actually really like how it turned out, and it will definitely be my new look. What do you think of it?

If you want to know where to find any of these products, comment below or message me.

New Year’s Eve Nail Tutorial

This is the nail design I will be wearing on New Year’s Eve. :)

1. First, put a base coat on your nails.

2. Layer on one coat of Twinkle Lights on your nails, and wait for it to dry. (This formula dries extremely fast!)

3. Repeat step 2. Repeat again if needed to make opaque.

4. Put a clear coat on your nails. (This is very important!! If you skip this step, the nail polish chips extremely fast!)

Though it’s kind of last minute, I decided to do another Christmas look tutorial. :) I was going to post it tomorrow, but tomorrow’s is supposed to be a nail tutorial!

Cranberry Christmas Look 2011

To get into the holiday spirit, I decided to create a look using a cranberry color. I mixed the cranberry with some golds because these two colors together remind me of Christmastime. :)

Halloween Nails 2011

Here is how I am doing my nails for Halloween tomorrow. It is extremely simple to do! It also does not take very long. :)

My costume is based around red and black, so those are the colors I will be using.

1. First apply a base coat to all of your nails. This step will keep the color from seeping into your nails and turning them yellow.

2. Take the color of your choice (I am using red), and paint an even coat on each nail.

3. Once it has dried, apply a second coat to each nail to ensure you get the fullest pigmentation.

4. Finally, once the second coat of red has dried. apply an even coat of black crackle nail polish. You need to make sure that you do this very quickly because once it dries, you cannot fix it without starting over. For this step, I used Pure Ice’s black crackle nail polish. It is only a few dollars, and it works very well!

Before I had chosen my outfit, I was going to do orange beneath the black crackle nail polish. However, the red matches a lot better. You shall see what my costume is tomorrow. :)

I have a post planned out about my outfit, accessories, and makeup!

(I’m also doing Ida, Megan, and Casey’s makeup.)
