Polyvore Monday: Coral Roundup

I am really loving bright colors for the summer this year. I really like how the coral and yellow look together in this outfit.

I picked out the shorts first because the colored jean trend is definitely in right now. I then picked out the shirt because I thought the color scheme went together extremely well. To offset the coral, I picked out a yellow bag. Because of all the colors, I kept the shoes a neutral white. The rest of the accessories I picked were gold to go along with the color scheme.

Polyvore Monday: Floral to the Max

I just recently purchased my first maxi dress. I never thought one would look good on me because I’m so short, but I discovered that I can make them look better if I wear it with wedges. I bought a blue one at Target, and it is the perfect length when I wear it with my wedges. The main places I’ll wear it will most likely be the beach and the pool. :) I really love the rose pattern on the maxi dress in this set, and it would look fantastic on the beach.

Polyvore Monday: Spring Statement

I have been really into shoes lately, so I wanted to do this Polyvore Monday post centered around a pair of statement wedges. I think this pair is the perfect representation of spring. I absolutely love the floral design! Another big trend this spring is the colored jean. I picked out this pair in pastel pink to go along with the trend of pastel colors and to match the wedges. Since the bottom half of the outfit is so crazy, I just wanted a simple white t-shirt. I think this one is really pretty, but it does not overwhelm the outfit. To match the shirt, I picked out a white small purse that I think is adorable. All of the jewelry I picked out went along with the gold theme that I brought in with the gold chain on the purse. I really love this outfit, and I would absolutely wear it if I had all of the pieces!

Polyvore Monday: Sunset Avenue

I am really in a bright color mood this week. The colors of this shirt make me look forward to summer (two more months of school)!

I first picked out the capris because the weather is sometimes chilly and sometimes hot, so these are a good balance between long pants and shorts. Then, as I was scrolling through the shirts, this one really popped out at me. I would definitely buy this shirt if I saw it in a store! Because the shirt is so loud, I decided to keep the accessories muted. I have been really into wedges lately, so I picked out a neutral color. The feather earrings are perfect for springtime, and the white of the back is very fresh. I thought the gold of the bracelet and ring accented the shirt perfectly, and I have always wanted a pair of aviator sunglasses. :)

Polyvore Monday: Blushing Rose

I first picked out the dress. I love the detail at the top of the dress and the layered ruffles on the skirt. I accented the blush color of the dress with beautiful gold accessories. I chose plain black pumps to offset the pale colors of the dress and accessories. I thought the snake skin clutch would be a great subtle change in pattern that still suited he color scheme.

Polyvore Monday: Prom 2012 (Prom Week: Day Two)

This Polyvore set is in honor of prom, the Hunger Games, and the University of Georgia.

I picked this picture of Katniss from The Hunger Games because I absolutely love the dress, and it’s red to represent UGA, which I toured this past weekend. Her dress is so pretty, and I would definitely wear it to prom. Because the dress is so awesome (you’ll have to watch The Hunger Games to see what I’m talking about), I wanted to keep the shoes and clutch a simple black. If you have read Mockingjay from The Hunger Games Trilogy, you will know why the earrings are perfect. The mockingjay pin that Katniss wears adds the final touch.
