Christmas and My Birthday 2012: Beauty and Fashion

Here is the video showing things that I got for Christmas or my birthday that relate to this blog! I figured since I loved watching everyone else’s video about what they got, I might as well make one too. :)

Let me know if you want a review on any of these products!

Here are pictures of the products:

Mini November 2011 Haul

While I was buying Ida’s birthday present on Ulta’s website, I decided to pick up a few things for myself so that I could get free shipping. Also, Ulta was having a “buy one get three” deal which I decided to take part in. I bought one mousse blush in Pink Glow and got three free (one Pink Glow and two Peach Glow). I also got two face masks (reviews coming up!), two Maybelline Shine Sensational lipglosses in Freshly Sliced and Berry Bella, and two NYX pigments in Mink Pearl and Rust Pearl. As always, I only purchased things that I have nothing like.

The three free sample I chose were Fekkai Technician Color Care, Bioré Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser, and Pink Sugar perfume.

Let me know if you have any of these products and what you think about them!

Mini October 2011 Haul

I didn’t plan on buying anything in October, but these deals were just too good to pass up!

I got a Smashbox Foundation Primer because my sample worked absolutely amazing at homecoming! (Read about the experience here.) Normally, it cost about $36 for just one ounce of the primer. However, I found a limited time deal on Sephora where you could buy a two ounce bottle for just $49! For my filler item to get free shipping, I got a lipgloss by Sephora.

Urban Decay was also having really good deals at the time. I got two cream eyeshadows in Rehab (brown) and Mushroom (gray/silver) for three dollars a piece. Normally, there were about $20. I also got a loose pigement eyeshadow in Protest (black) for ONE DOLLAR instead of $20. Finally, I got a matte eyeshadow in Chronic (green) for three dollars instead of $17.

Finally, I got Duo Eyelash Adhesive just because I didn’t have any, and I needed it.

Have you found any great deals lately?

Ida’s Birthday Present

When Ida was at my house a little more than a month ago, I did her makeup. She wanted me to do a smoky eye because she didn’t know how to do it.

Fortunately, she loved it! For her birthday, which was November 24th, I decided to get her all the materials she would need to do the smoky eye. I didn’t get her mascara because I knew she already has some.

I got her:

NYX HD Eyeshadow Base

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in Milk, Pots & Pans, and Black Bean

NYX Triple Eye Shadows in White/Gray/Black

ELF Dramatic Lash Kit in Black

ELF Liquid Eyeliner in Black

ELF Eyeshadow Brush

ELF Eye Contour Brush

ELF Blending Eye Brush

Maybeleine New York Fit me! Blush in Light Pink

ELF Makeup Mist & Set

I hope you liked it, Ida!

Also, I will be doing a smoky eye tutorial video soon. :)

September 2011 Haul: Ross, Target, MAC, ELF, Charlotte Russe, Papaya

So…I went shopping a LOT in September. I don’t normally go shopping this much, but I had a lot of free time. The only things I’ve gotten since then are presents for other people or things that I was planning on buying eventually that were having a good deal. Thank you to anyone who bought me something, I really appreciate it. :)

If you’re going to watch the video, I suggest watching it in parts. I was going to split it into two videos, but I didn’t have time to upload two separate videos last night.

Part 2 of the video organized by type

July Collective Haul: Niagara Falls, Cooperstown, Rue21, Target, Ulta, Hot Topic, and Wet Seal

I filmed this video about two months ago, and I completely forgot about it. Since I already have it edited and everything, I decided to upload it. Plus, I talk about things other than beauty and fashion in this video.

I forgot to mention this in the video: my sister and I got Syracuse jewelry while we were in New York. We got them at a store near the university after I toured the college. We got a ring, a necklace, and earrings. :)

OOTD: August 06, 2011 (Major wardrobe malfunction!)

Today was day two of my friend Christina’s birthday party. Yesterday we just hung out at her house, played Just Dance, and took pictures. Today we went to the mall and did a scavenger hung. Our team, Christina, Emily, and myself, won!

One of the items on the scavenger hunt list was to put crazy makeup on someone. I was the only one not wearing eyeshadow, so I was volunteered against my will. I came out of Sephora looking like this…

Lovely, right? Thank you Christina and Emily...

Not only that, but I had a terrible wardrobe malfunction. I had forgotten how short the dress I brought was, so I did not bring a skirt. I ended up having to go into Wet Seal to buy a sweater to put over it. I actually like how it turned out though. :)

Hair Clip-ins: Pink and Purple

From Hot Topic for about $15

While at the mall yesterday, my friends and I went into Hot Topic. I didn’t plan on buying anything, but my friend, Lizzie, found these colored, clip-in hair extensions. I thought they all looked really cool, and I’ve wanted to get a strip of my hair dyed a different color for a long time. I thought this was the perfect solution because I can just put it in when I am in the mood. Solid colors were ten dollars, while multi-colored ones and feather-type ones were fifteen dollars. Two hair extensions come in each pack.

My favorite way to wear the clip-in is when I have my hair half up, like in the picture above.  I have found that this hairstyle makes it a lot easier to hide the clip in my hair and match my hair length at the same time.

I do not wear them that often because of school, but I always get a lot of compliments when I do!
