This Month in Pictures: November, 2011

November 1st
We had our first cheer practice! Afterwards, I went to Megan’s house, and we went “trick or treating” for Habitat for Humanity. Basically, we raised money to build a house for a family in the spring.

November 2nd
Happy birthday, Lizzie!

November 3rd
We had another cheer practice. Nothing about this day is really significant, but I like this picture of Hannah and I. :)  (Check out Hannah’s blog here.)

November 4th
Happy birthday, Stephanie! After school, Steph’s mom picked us up. First, we went to a festival at her mom’s work. Steph’s littlest sister, Addison, dressed up as a little doctor. It was so cute. :)  Afterwards, we went to the mall to pick up Steph and Addison’s birthday cookie cake. While we were walking around, we saw Pillow Pet hats!

I free-handed this drawing and painting. :)

November 5th
Happy birthday, Addison! I started off the day by going to a banner painting for cheerleading. Later on in the day, I went to Jared’s house to hang out with all of my friends. I watch some of the guys play ping pong and pool, we watched the UGA vs. Florida game, and Casey and I had quite an adventure trying to  get our stolen phones back from the guys.

November 7th
After cheer practice, I went to Sid’s house with Casey and Megan to work on our Spanish project. When we had gotten most of it done, we decided to pull a prank on Ben and Ryan. Click here for a more in depth description of the prank and to see pictures. After the prank, we ended up hanging out at Ben’s house for a few more hours.

Hayden, Megan, and I

November 8th
I had to leave Sid’s house early because I had a doctor’s appointment. After the appointment, however, I went back to her house so that we could finish up our project. It turned out pretty well, and we got a 96 on it.

Mary, me, Casey, Lauren, and Ida

Everyone

November 11th
We pretty much celebrated all day because it was 11/11/11, and we’re in 11th grade! We took a picture at 11:11 a.m. in art and at 11:11 p.m. at Sid’s house. After school, I had to cheer at two varsity scrimmage basketball games. Both teams won, but us cheerleaders got booed (long story…). All in all though, it was a good day. Oh yeah, the guys got Casey’s car too.

November 12th
Cheer camp! The varsity squad learned a dance, two stunt cheers, and an opening for every game.

November 16th
Happy birthday, Grandpa and Emily!

November 18th
I went to see Breaking Dawn: Part 1 with Lizzie, Hannah, Christina, and Kayla. It was so good! It was the closest one to the book yet. Afterwards, I went to Eric’s house with Lauren to hang out with everyone. Then, Darby and Lauren came home with me to spend the night. It was a fun way to start the break. :)

November 21st
I started off the day with a doctor’s appointment. Afterwards, my mom and I went out to eat and shopping. Then, we went to her PT appointment. When that was over, I went to Ida’s 17th birthday party. It was a lot of fun! :)

November 22nd
On our way to the campground, we stopped at an outlet mall so I could exchange my purse at Guess. (Click here to see what I’m talking about.) I also exchanged my wallet and bought three pairs of earrings. (They were only nine dollars all together!) After we were done there, we went to drop my aunt and my grandma off at their hotel. After unloading the car TWICE, my mom and I were soaking wet.

November 23rd
I didn’t do too much, but I did draw my interpretation of the cover of New Moon.

November 24th
Happy birthday, Ida! For Thanksgiving, my aunt and uncle, my grandma and grandpa, and my other grandma joined us at our campsite. My mom’s meal was SO delicious!

November 26th
First I had to cheer at two varsity basketball games. The girls won by 49, and the guys lost by one in double over time. :(  After that, my grandma, my grandpa, and I went to church. Then, we all went out to eat with my family. When that was over, I went to Ben’s house to hang out with all of my friends. Afterwards, I went to Lauren’s house to spend the night. It was a full day!

November 27th
Happy birthday, Aunt Lisa!

November 29th
I didn’t get home until 10:00 p.m. because of the basketball games. It was fun, though, because both of our teams won! When I got home, all I did was eat dinner, and then I crashed.

November 30th
Happy birthday, Ryan!

Mini October 2011 Haul

I didn’t plan on buying anything in October, but these deals were just too good to pass up!

I got a Smashbox Foundation Primer because my sample worked absolutely amazing at homecoming! (Read about the experience here.) Normally, it cost about $36 for just one ounce of the primer. However, I found a limited time deal on Sephora where you could buy a two ounce bottle for just $49! For my filler item to get free shipping, I got a lipgloss by Sephora.

Urban Decay was also having really good deals at the time. I got two cream eyeshadows in Rehab (brown) and Mushroom (gray/silver) for three dollars a piece. Normally, there were about $20. I also got a loose pigement eyeshadow in Protest (black) for ONE DOLLAR instead of $20. Finally, I got a matte eyeshadow in Chronic (green) for three dollars instead of $17.

Finally, I got Duo Eyelash Adhesive just because I didn’t have any, and I needed it.

Have you found any great deals lately?

If you could only wear one color for December, what would you choose?

If I could only wear one color for the entire month of December, I would choose the color red. I would choose red because it is my favorite color, and I have been told that it looks good on me.

My second choice would be blue because it really brings out my eyes, and Steph told me it’s her favorite color on me.

What color would you choose?

Ida’s Birthday Present

When Ida was at my house a little more than a month ago, I did her makeup. She wanted me to do a smoky eye because she didn’t know how to do it.

Fortunately, she loved it! For her birthday, which was November 24th, I decided to get her all the materials she would need to do the smoky eye. I didn’t get her mascara because I knew she already has some.

I got her:

NYX HD Eyeshadow Base

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in Milk, Pots & Pans, and Black Bean

NYX Triple Eye Shadows in White/Gray/Black

ELF Dramatic Lash Kit in Black

ELF Liquid Eyeliner in Black

ELF Eyeshadow Brush

ELF Eye Contour Brush

ELF Blending Eye Brush

Maybeleine New York Fit me! Blush in Light Pink

ELF Makeup Mist & Set

I hope you liked it, Ida!

Also, I will be doing a smoky eye tutorial video soon. :)

Orange Tank Top Renovation

So one day last month, I decided to wear a shirt that I had gotten in middle school. Because some parts of it felt a bit juvenile, I decided to wear a scarf with it to cover up.

I took the scarf off for the picture, but it was orange and pink.

This is what the shirt looked like before I did anything to it:

I tried to rotate the picture, but my computer is being dumb and won't let me. I decided I want to get rid of the sleeve strings, the white insert, and the bottom "skirt."

So I cut them all off:

The remainders of my shirt

My shirt after I cut everything off

I ended up liking the shirt SO much better after I renovated it. It now feels much more age appropriate.

I put a black camisole underneath it to make the tank top more conservative.

What do you guys think?

Prank Time

To do this prank, you will need:

* Panty-liners

*Window crayons

*Your friends’ cars

*Permission from said friend’s mom

Megan, Casey, Sidney, and I went to Kroger and picked up our supplies. Then we went to Ben’s house because we knew all of the cars would be there. While the guys were in the basement, we snuck to their cars. Just as we were about to start, Ben’s mom came out. She actually gave us permission to prank their cars, as long as we didn’t permanently damage them. The best part is she said, “When you girls are done, you can come in for cookies!” It was quite hilarious when Ben found out his mom took our side hahaha.

We took the window crayons  and wrote inside jokes all over the windows. (If we hadn’t planned on telling them what we did, we wouldn’t have made it obvious with the inside jokes.) Then, we wrote more jokes on the pantyliners and stuck them on the spokes of their wheels.

After we were done, we hid behind his house and called them to come out to their cars. We could hear Ryan’s reaction all the way from the back!

Here are the pictures of what we did:

September 2011 Haul: Ross, Target, MAC, ELF, Charlotte Russe, Papaya

So…I went shopping a LOT in September. I don’t normally go shopping this much, but I had a lot of free time. The only things I’ve gotten since then are presents for other people or things that I was planning on buying eventually that were having a good deal. Thank you to anyone who bought me something, I really appreciate it. :)

If you’re going to watch the video, I suggest watching it in parts. I was going to split it into two videos, but I didn’t have time to upload two separate videos last night.

Part 2 of the video organized by type

This Month in Pictures: October 2011

Karoline, Mary, Sid, myself, Megan, Ida, Lauren

October was definitely a good social month for me!

October 1st
A couple of my friends started out the day by taking the SAT. Afterwards, Lauren, Megan, Ida, Karoline, Casey, Sid and I met at O’Charley’s for lunch. I got a cherry limeade and a black and bleu salad (yum!). When we were done eating, we all went bowling. Unfortunately, Casey had to leave, but Mary met us there. :) We had a lot of fun!

Ida, myself, Christina, and Kristen

October 3rd
Unfortunately, we had to start the day by going to school. However, right after school, we all left for the Joe Jonas, Jay Sean, and JoJo concert! It didn’t start until 8, but we got there early so we could get good seats. We were SO close! Joe and I made eye contact for five seconds! :D During one song, Joe started throwing roses to the crowd, and Ida caught one! She was nice enough to give us all petals. :) The concert was SOOOOOOOO AMAZING. ♥
(Comment if you want to see more pictures.)

Christina and I

October 7th and 8th
On October 7th, my friends and I all went to the homecoming game together. Our school won! The next day was the homecoming dance. Click here to read more about it.

Mary, Lauren, Tori, Casey, Megan, Sid, Anil, Ryan, and myself

October 21st
Instead of going to the last home football game, we all decided to do something else for our Friday night. We all met at La Parilla for dinner at around five. We told the waitress it was Casey’s birthday without Casey knowing. Her reaction, because it wasn’t her birthday, was SO funny. She was clapping along with the music until she realized it was for her; then her mouth fell open. hahahaha

Afterwards, everyone except for Eric came over to my house. We played man hunt and roasted marshmallows. After the guys (Ben, Anil, and Ryan) and Mary left, the girls (Lauren, Sid, Tori, Megan, Casey, and Ida) slept over. It was a lot of fun!

Ida's eyes

October 22nd
Most people left really early after the sleepover, but Casey and Ida stayed a bit longer. While they were there, I did the smoky eye on both of them. I absolutely LOVED how it came out on Ida.
Later, Ben, Trevor, Eric, Jared, Ryan, Sid, Casey, and I went to a haunted house. It was a lot of fun!

Casey, Lo, Ida, and myself

October 28th
After school, Lauren, Casey, Ida, Kristin (Ida’s host sister), and I met at Taco Bell to eat dinner together. Afterwards, we all went to see Paranormal Activity 3. It was a lot scarier than the first one (I haven’t seen the second one), but the ending was stupid. After the movie, Lauren slept over. It was a good day. :)

October 29th
Everyone went to Ryan’s house to watch the Georgia and Florida game. We were all rooting for Georgia, so we were happy with the outcome. Afterwards, the guys served the chili that they made before we came over. I didn’t eat any because it was spicy, but I heard it was actually really good! (Click here to see how they made it a different time. They changed a few things when they made it for everyone.) Then, we all went downstairs and watched The Other Guys and the third Transformers movie.

Sid, Ida, Megan, Casey, and myself

October 31st
After school, Megan came over, and we got our costumes ready together. I did both of our makeup while we were waiting for the others. A couple hours after that, Sid, Ida, and Casey came over. I then did Ida and Casey’s makeup. After I was done, we all left and went to Megan’s neighborhood to trick or treat. Click here to see a more in depth version of my Halloween.

This month was so much fun!

If you want to see more pictures of any particular event, just let me know!

October 2011 Favorites

Click here to view the last favorites video I did. (August 2011)

**Primers: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion; Smashbox Face Primer

I used Smashbox Face Primer for the first time for homecoming on October 8th. At the end of the night, after dancing for several hours, I asked my friend how my foundation looked. My normal primer (L’Oreal) would have helped it stay some, but there are normally some spots that still wear off. With the Smashbox Primer (I had a sample of it from an Ulta order back in May), she said my makeup looked exactly how it did when I applied it before I left the house. I immediately when home and bought some from Sephora.

*Concealer: Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle RollerCover Girl Invisible

*Foundation: Rimmel London

*Powder: Organic Wear

**Blush: MAC Dainty

While in Chicago over September Break, my mom and I went to a MAC store for the first time. My Aunt Janice was nice enough to buy me some things (thank you so much!). I asked one of the workers what blush she thought would go best with my skin tone, and she recommended Dainty. I absolutely LOVE it.

**Eyeshadow: Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV

Also from my Aunt Janice, I used this product for the first time for homecoming. The colors looked absolutely gorgeous together, and it has become my everyday eyeshadow. Thank you Aunt Janice!

**Bottom Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Oil Slick

I’ve had this eyeliner since March, but I really started using it a lot this month. It stays all day on my waterline, and I never have to worry about it smudging.

*Top Eyeliner: Almay liquid eyeliner in black

**Mascara: Cover Girl Lash Blast Length, Ulta Lash Blow Out

I’ve used Cover Girl Lash Blast Length for a few months, but this month is the first time it has been on my favorites. I really got into mascara in October, and these two mascaras paired together made my lashes SO long. A review is coming up on the Ulta Lash Blow Out.

Although it looks colored, it comes out clear on the lips.

*Lip color: Claire’s lip gloss

Ironically, this lip gloss was not my most used in September, but in August and October, the two months that I chose to do my favorites. This lip gloss looks great over anything, and it smells really good.

**Lotion: Bali Mango from Bath & Body Works

I’ve really gotten into moisturizing my skin the past month. This lotion smells SO good, and I absolutely love it.

**Face Product: Olay Pro-X, Neutrogena Wave

Sometime in October my sister and mom were nice enough to buy me a new Neutrogena Wave because they knew mine had died. Because  I really like my Olay Pro-X, I had to work out a system where I could use both. I use the Olay Pro-X at night before I go to bed, and I use the Neutrogena Wave in the shower in the morning.

*Washing Product: Bed Head shampoo

**Shoes: brown/black boots

Because it has gotten cold here recently, I have shown all of my boots a lot of love this month.

**Clothes: skinny jeans; quarter length shirts

Also because it has gotten colder, I’ve started wearing warmer shirts that will keep me cozy throughout the school day or while hanging out with my friends.

**Accessories: class ring, sister ring

I didn’t really wear a lot of accessories this month, so I pretty much basically stuck with the two rings that I wear every day.

*Purse: black leather purse

**Activity: hanging out with friends, losing weight

This month was fantastic for my social life! My friends and I got to hang out a lot more than usual. (I think it’s because of our drivers’ licenses.) There will be a post coming up called This Month in Pictures: October 2011.

Another activity I’ve done this month is lose weight! I’ve actually already lost 4 pounds. :)

**Songs: See No More, Love Slayer, Just in Love, Kleptomaniac, Make You Mine – Joe Jonas; Disaster – Jojo; I Love You This Big – Scotty McCreery; For The Love Of A Daughter, You’re My Only Shorty, Give Your Heart a Break, Who’s That Boy, In Real Life, Unbroken – Demi Lovato; Center of My World, I’m Gonna Change That, Tomorrow, She’s Got This Thing About Her, I Can Take it From There, Old Love Feels New – Chris Young

The past two months I have definitely been on a Joe Jonas craze. Ever since his album came out October 11th, his cd is the only thing I listen to when I’m driving. All of the other songs are ones that are on my go-to playlist on my iTouch.

(The only songs with links are the ones that have officially been put on YouTube by the artists.)

If the item has (**) next to the title, it has been changed from August. I only elaborated on the new items.

Halloween 2011

Originally, my friends and I were not going to go trick-or-treating this year. However, our friend, Ida, is an exchange student from Norway. Because she had never gone before, we decided to go with her. We were all sooo excited to see her experience it for the first time. :)

Megan came over after school, and I did her makeup first. At around 8, Ida and Casey came over, and I did their makeup as well.

For my costume, I decided to be something new to me. I went and got a black dress and red fish net tights from Kroger. I paired it with a blonde wig, red horns, and black boots to be…a devil! The most exciting part of my costume for me was my makeup. Initially, I was just going to do my eyeshadow to match my outfit, but I kind of got carried away. :)

If you want to see how I did my nails, click here.

This Halloween was a lot of fun. :) I hope you all had a good day too!
